Smash Those Bugs Digital Math Game for 3rd Grade

Smash Those Bugs Digital Math Game for 3rd graders are the perfect tools to introduce third grade students to addition and subtraction. Some kids like bugs and others want to smash them.

I recall the excitement of playing the Bug Smash game during our class’s math day. It was not just about squashing those colorful bugs but also a sneaky way to practice our addition and subtraction skills.

To my surprise, I learned that some students could not add or subtract at their grade level. Either they were bored or just understand regrouping or without regrouping. I understand how little minds can get confused.

Our Powerful Imagination

We spend time making different bug characters, each with their own job to make our math game more fun. Then, with the digital math game, we turn these bug ideas into real game characters to make learning math even more exciting. It’s a simple process and doesn’t need any fancy setup.

This self checking digital math game is by far my favorite activities. I love watching student take their time to solve each equation and if they get it wrong, they will try again.

If you want a self checking system for your 3rd grade students this is it. It is great for tutoring as well. Students who are behind grade level can also benefit from this game because it will help them understand regrouping and without regrouping.
